Here are my images for the July OCC competition. The theme is pebbles & stones of which there are not many in Orlando! We don't have too many pebbles and stones laying around, mostly sand. This was another tough one trying to decide what to shoot. I decided to try the railroad tracks and focus on the stone track ballast. I picked the top image to submit. Track ballast forms the trackbed upon which railroad ties are laid and is typically made of crushed stone. Angular stones are preferable to naturally rounded ones for structural support and water runoff. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Track_ballast. Watch out for the red ants!
